ReMOBIL, REGIONAL MOBILITY centers

The main goal of the ReMOBIL project is to reduce the negative environmental impacts of transport, which are a result of the lack of use of sustainable forms of mobility at the local, regional and national levels, in the long term, and to improve the management of sustainable mobility in the long term.

We will address the establishment of more effective sustainable mobility planning in the regions involved in the project. A regional mobility management model will be designed and guidelines for mobility management at the regional level and recommendations for harmonization of legislation will be formulated. The model will be tested within the framework of six regional mobility centers established as part of the project. The operation of the regional mobility centers will facilitate cooperation between the regional level and the national level responsible for transport (Ministry of Infrastructure, Ministry of Environment, Climate and Energy - Sector for Sustainable Development and Transport Policy) and those responsible for spatial planning (Ministry of Natural Resources and Spatial Planning) and digitalization (Ministry of Public Administration).

The project will also include specialized training for experts, which will contribute to a higher level of information and specialization of municipal, inter-municipal and regional expert services. Through targeted campaigns, we will raise public awareness and promote the use of sustainable mobility in the regions involved.
