Spain, the fourth largest economy in the EU by GDP, represents one of the largest, but often underexploited markets for Slovenian companies. It has emerged as a dynamic and rapidly developing market, especially in recent years. In addition to a stable macroeconomic environment, it is characterized by accelerated technological development in the areas of digitalization, smart manufacturing and energy transition, while becoming an increasingly important European innovation hub in the areas of mobility, renewable energy sources and advanced industrial solutions.

Numerous promising niche markets are of particular interest to Slovenian companies - from green technologies, energy efficiency and the circular economy to specialized industrial components and solutions with higher added value.

The event is aimed at export-oriented companies that want to explore Spain as a business destination for the first time and anyone interested in strengthening their presence in this market. Through presentations by speakers, we will talk about opportunities and provide a better understanding of the Spanish business environment for companies. With the current tense geopolitical situation in the Middle East and increased uncertainty in some traditional export markets, business diversification is becoming increasingly important for companies and in this context Spain is certainly one of the better alternatives.

The event program offers a direct insight into the real dynamics and specifics of doing business with Spain. Three Slovenian companies that are already successfully operating in Spain will share their experiences, while a representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Madrid and a head of the department at the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce will add an institutional aspect and an overview of bilateral cooperation between Slovenia and Spain.

REGISTRATION:

Participation in the event is free, but registration is required by July 7, 2026 via the electronic registration form . We warmly invite you all to the GZS to the live meeting. Those who mark online participation in the registration form will receive a zoom link the day before the event.

CHECK OUT:

In order to optimize the organization, we kindly ask you to notify us of any non-participation by 9:00 a.m. on July 8th at the latest in writing to the e-mail address vanja.bele@gzs.si . Otherwise, an organizational fee of EUR 50.00 + VAT per participant will be charged.
