New publicly accessible database of Slovenian startups established
Subject: The Spirit Slovenia agency has established a publicly accessible database of Slovenian startups. It currently includes 77 startups, with the goal of having 225 by the end of next year.
The database provides a better overview of innovative startups in Slovenia, easier search for key data, and additional support in promoting the Slovenian startup environment at home and abroad, the agency said in a press release. Data on startups, their solutions, the development phase they are in, the level of development of products or services, investments, and other selected indicators are gathered in one place.

Competitive advantage hours for business entrepreneurs
Subject: SPOT Consulting The Central Slovenian Region – GZS invites entrepreneurs to a free online training "Hours of Competitive Advantages for Business Entrepreneurs", which will be held on June 22, 2026 at 9 am. The seminar will present financing options in 2026, support services, business connections, entry into foreign markets and access to the Slovenian Artificial Intelligence Factory. Lecturers will be Gordana Kisilak, Vanja Bele and Katja Bučan.

Ask an Expert: What does EUDR mean for your business?
Subject: GS1 Slovenia is organizing a free online event dedicated to questions from companies about the EUDR regulation and digital traceability. The guest will be Tomaž Remic from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food. They will discuss deadlines, DDS references, GeoJSON data, data exchange and the connection between EUDR, 2D codes and ESG requirements. The event is suitable for all companies that deal with products covered by the EUDR regulation.

How does the gut affect stress and concentration in entrepreneurs?
Subject: The webinar is aimed at entrepreneurs who are struggling with burnout, stress and chronic fatigue. It focuses on the connection between the gut microbiome and the brain and its impact on mood, energy and mental resilience. Participants will learn about the importance of fiber and fermented foods for gut health, and the practical part includes a demonstration of making water kefir.

Business CALL FOR TENDER – June 2026
Public call for proposals P7R 2026 - loans for companies from border problem areas in the Republic of Slovenia
Subject: The call is intended to provide favorable loans to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises for investments, working capital and growth and development. Priority is given to companies in border problem and functionally undervalued areas, including cooperatives and social enterprises. The call encourages job creation, the introduction of new technologies, automation, digitalization and sustainable activities (energy and material efficiency, sustainable mobility), while strengthening the competitiveness and integration of companies in supply chains.

KAVA Call 14 - Upscaling: funding of up to €2.5 million for innovative raw material projects
Subject: EIT RawMaterials has launched a call for projects that prepare proven raw materials technologies for market entry. Projects can receive between EUR 500,000 and 2.5 million, last a maximum of 2.5 years and require at least 50% co-financing. International consortia with at least two partners covering at least two sides of the knowledge triangle are eligible to apply. The required starting TRL is 5, with a target TRL of 8.

Public call for research projects of the "Our Food, Countryside and Natural Resources" program announced
Subject: ARIS has published a call for proposals under the "Our Food, Countryside and Natural Resources" program for 2026 with 3.5 million euros in co-financing. The deadline for applications is June 30, 2026. 20 research topics are being announced, divided into four focus areas: competitive agriculture and forestry, environmental protection, quality of life and healthy food, and knowledge transfer. The projects support the development of Slovenian agricultural policy and sustainable rural development. Applications are submitted electronically via the ARIS Digital Forms portal.

Public tender for co-financing the establishment of publicly accessible charging parks along the TEN-T network (JR SPP TEN-T-2026)
Subject: The public tender co-finances the establishment or upgrade of publicly accessible charging parks for fast charging of light and heavy electric vehicles along the Slovenian TEN-T road network and in the urban nodes of Ljubljana and Maribor. The aim is to ensure sufficient coverage, capacity and quality of the charging infrastructure along six motorway branches, with an emphasis on charging points for trucks and buses. The measure is based on the European State Aid Regulation (651/2014/EU) and supports the development of long-distance electromobility.

Public call for tenders "BIZI circular"
Subject: BIZI Circular is a promotional investment loan from the Slovenian Regional Development Fund, intended to co-finance projects for the transition of companies to a circular economy. It supports the reduction of resource use and waste generation, the introduction of recycled materials and the extension of the life cycle of products. Special incentives are intended for projects in priority areas, with the aim of increasing efficiency and reducing environmental impacts.

Public call for intervention investment in primary wood processing and digitalization (IRP08) for 2026
Subject: On 8 May 2026, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food published a public call for proposals to support investments in primary wood processing and digitalization. The aim is to add value to forestry products and increase competitiveness and productivity in forestry. The total amount of grants is 3.5 million euros. The funds are divided equally between operators of supplementary activities on farms and companies, cooperatives and sole proprietors.

Public invitation to employers to implement local on-the-job training programs "USPOSABLJAM.SE" 2026-2027
Subject: Public invitation to tender collects offers from employers for the implementation of local on-the-job training programmes "Usposabljam.se" 2026–2027. It includes two identical programmes, which differ only in their target group and source of funding. Unemployed persons are included in the work process at the employer for three months, where they gain knowledge and experience for greater employability under mentorship. The aim is to improve the competitiveness of the unemployed on the local labour market.

Public invitation to employers to implement a project within the Learning Workshops+ program
Subject: In a public invitation, the Institute is collecting offers from employers for the project Learning Workshops+. It is intended for practical training of unemployed persons who need in-depth treatment. Participants are trained under mentorship in a social entrepreneurship environment, and with the support of a job coach, they overcome obstacles (e.g. long-term unemployment, disability). The goal is to perform tasks independently. The total value of the funds tendered is EUR 900,000.00.
