New business incubator MPIK Innovatorium opened in Slovenj Gradec

Today, the Municipality of Slovenj Gradec officially opened the new business incubator MPIK Innovatorium, which will significantly mark the future of entrepreneurship in Koroška. The project, which was created in cooperation between the Municipality of Slovenj Gradec and the Regional Development Agency for Koroška, offers 11 offices for young companies, 6 production spaces, a modern coworking space, a larger service space and a meeting room on almost 2,200 square meters of partially renovated premises. The first companies moved into MPIK Innovatorium in March this year, and vacancies are still available - both in production and office spaces, at affordable prices.

The ceremonial ribbon cutting was jointly carried out by the Mayor of the Municipality of Slovenj Gradec Tilen Klugler and the Director of RRA Koroška Uroš Rozman, followed by a tour of the premises. On this occasion, the doors were opened by the six first incubates, who are already developing their business stories at the Innovatorium:

Together they represent the first generation of incubates who will pave the way for Koroška's economic development with their innovative ideas and entrepreneurial drive.

At the opening, the conference room also hosted the signing of a contract between RRA Koroška and the Vesna VC fund, the first venture capital fund in Slovenia, specializing in investing in breakthrough companies based on science, research and advanced technologies. The fund's goal is to solve global challenges in an innovative way. RRA Koroška thus became one of the first regional partners, which opens the door to financing and support for innovative projects in Koroška.

We concluded the event with the desire to bring the MPIK Innovatorium spaces to life as much as possible and become a space for promising entrepreneurial stories that will leave their mark both in Koroška and beyond.
