Free ski bus to the Kope ski resort during the holidays!

As part of the Partnership for Pohorje, together with the Regional Development Agency for Podravje – Maribor, the Regional Development Agency for Koroška and the company Vabo, we are providing free bus transport to and from the Kope ski resort in December. The sustainably oriented initiative thus presents a simple and accessible solution for all lovers of white slopes, which with free bus transport represents a novelty in the Koroška destination. Christmas and New Year's winter adventures in Koroška are thus even more tempting!

Every day between 22 and 31 December 2024, free shuttles will be organized from the town of Slovenj Gradec to the Kope ski resort and back to the valley. The exact schedule of the line brings the morning shuttle at 8:15 (behind the Vabo Hotel) and at 8:30 from the Slovenj Gradec bus station, and then the afternoon shuttle at 17:00 also behind the Vabo Hotel and at 17:15 from the Slovenj Gradec bus station. The bus will return to the valley in the afternoon and evening hours: first at 15:00, and secondly at 20:30. The different shuttle times are set according to the usual practice of ski resort visitors, and the free line is intended for everyone - both locals and tourists to the destination of Koroška.

Within the framework of the Partnership for Pohorje, together with our partners, we emphasize that this type of activation is just one of many that will promote a more sustainable visit to the destination of Koroška, while at the same time adapting to the wishes and needs of visitors to the destination. We are convinced that the opportunity will be interesting for many, both locals and tourists, and we have no doubt that the possibility of free and carefree transport to the white slopes can be one of the key reasons to visit Kop this year.

Statement by the director of the RRA Koroška Uroš Rozman: "With free transportation during the holidays, we want to make the Kope ski resort accessible to the general public and encourage winter tourism in Koroška. This is an important step in promoting the region, as it allows for a more sustainable approach to transportation and reduces traffic congestion. At the same time, it means added value for visitors, who can enjoy winter activities without worry."

No prior registration is required, and the bus line will be appropriately marked so that interested parties will have no trouble finding it.
