For us, responsibility is no longer an option, but a standard – we received the Socially Responsible Employer certificate

We are aware that every decision we make affects our employees, partners and the wider environment. That is why last year, in September, we signed a Statement of Commitment to Social Responsibility. This commitment brought us a commitment to base our operations on the values ​​of transparency, ethical conduct, respect for human rights, equality and sustainable use of resources.

A socially responsible employer is an organization that consistently cares for the well-being of employees, enables work-life balance, builds an inclusive organizational culture, promotes health and safety at work, responsibly manages natural and financial resources, and operates transparently and in dialogue with stakeholders.

The Socially Responsible Employer certificate is not just a formal recognition, but a long-term commitment to act responsibly, inclusively and sustainably as an organization – for the benefit of our employees and the entire Koroške region. Our director Uroš Rozman said that he is proud that we have embarked on this path and thus taken an important step towards even more responsible, sustainable and inclusive operations – for the benefit of all who co-create their story.

This certificate is based on the principles of the ISO 26000 standard and the goals of sustainable development (Agenda 2030). The emphasis is on permanent processes, not one-off activities, emphasized Gašper Zakrajšek , Head of Certification - Socially Responsible Employer Certificate from the Ekvilib Institute. He also explained the procedure for obtaining the certificate and what it brings to companies in practice.

RRA Koroška obtained the Accession Certificate through a systematic process involving all employees, which we saw as a development opportunity and long-term direction of operations. This part was coordinated within the agency by Jasmina Pungartnik , project manager at RRA Koroška.

Within the agency, we are aware that our mission is to promote development potential and ensure the sustainable development of the Koroške region and the wider area. We also attach importance to our values: development orientation, integration and cooperation, social responsibility and equality, sustainable orientation, knowledge and boldness. However, it seems crucial to us that all of the above is not just theory, but a practice that we live and put into practice with our actions.
