Consultation on the provision and management of supporting infrastructure in electric vehicle charging parks

Last Tuesday, January 27, 2026, we held a consultation in Slovenj Gradec on the topic of providing and managing support infrastructure in charging parks for electric vehicles. It was carried out by the company Eles doo and took place under the organizational umbrella of the Regional Mobility Center Koroška, which operates within the Regional Development Agency for Koroško.

The company ELES, doo, the operator of the combined transmission and distribution electricity network, will in future, in accordance with the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Act, perform the public economic service of providing and managing the supporting infrastructure in charging parks for electric vehicles. The new public economic service will have to prepare, in cooperation with municipalities and public road operators, a national plan for the locations of charging parks, which will also include local plans for charging infrastructure intended for municipal public services, residents of multi-apartment buildings and other users at the discretion of the municipalities.

The first presentation was premiered at Koroškem. With the increasing electrification of transport and the construction of the third development axis, it will also be necessary to provide adequate charging infrastructure within our region and adapt the electricity grid to the challenges of e-mobility. An interesting discussion developed, thank you to the representatives of the municipalities for their presence.
